My name is Nikola Stevanović and I am a designer and illustrator from Belgrade. My growing up began in a now defunct socialist Yugoslavia, and continued in a war-torn country which has changed several names since. Both influenced my somewhat ironic stance which took much from Magritte’s hyperrealism. Being the son of two botanists, I started to combine my love for nature with my avid interest in documentarist photography and botanic sketchings very early on. I graduated with a Master degree in printmaking in 2006. From that time I committed myself to combining rawness of printmaking with the clean process of graphic design.
